Director Rob Nilsson ran the Tenderloin Group’s film acting workshops for street people, inner-city residents, professional actors and all-comers from 1991 to 2005, producing ten feature films. Scenes from Chalk and the nine 9@NIGHT films, featuring the lives of 50 fictional characters from San Francisco’s night streets, will play on SFIFF’s outdoor screen.

Award-winning documentarian Jon Else provides a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the making of Doctor Atomic, an opera about J. Robert Oppenheimer created in 2006 for the San Francisco Opera by composer John Adams and director Peter Sellars.

Beloved local bands Halou and Tarentel take the stage for contrasting and intense multimedia performances that merge electronic and psychedelic music with dreamy
visuals. Videos made by the winner and finalists of the GreenWorld online contest will be screened as well. Admission to Mighty ages 21 and up only; proof of age will be required at the door.
